The above appeared in the the Italian La Gazzeta dello sport publication earlier today. It’s blatant, there is no misunderstanding to be had.
I want Mario Balotelli to score the winning goal in Euro 2012, lower the cup, spit in it, and tell everyone in Europe (especially Italy) to kiss his black ass and never put on an Italy kit again.
They have treated him with absolutely 0 respect and no regard. Niggering this, monkeying that, making animal noises, taunting him, and saying he is not worthy of representing the Italian national team because of the color of his skin. I realize that he’s got some issues but there are lines that aren’t to be crossed and almost every single one of those lines has been crossed over the course of his short career.
As a people, Italians have to do better than this.
